Fantastic!  Wish I'd read these to my boys when they were younger, although there's plenty of treasures in them for adults too.  I found myself enjoying the story and eager to find out what happens, while also just wanting to linger longer in parts of the tale.  There's something very powerful about these books.  I will definitely be reading more of George MacDonald's work.

I loved this book so much as a kid, it was one of my favorites. I'd recommend this to any young readers who enjoy a good heroic adventure with a deep message.

Horrible sequel. It's mostly just Curdie. Really boring, and some stories left open while others were shut abruptly in the end.

Yet another great story by George MacDonald :) I wish that the very ending had been slightly different, but otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed it :)
