Beautiful and dark with a sprinkling of humour and a wonderful protagonist. The romance between Emily and Wendell felt off to me, however – the book probably could have done without it.

This was such a sweet little book and definitely confirmed my love of low-stakes cozy fantasy with a bit of romance. I loved the structure and writing of this as well as the characters and the found family trope! I love Emily and Wendell 🫶.
