A book that touched on how the mind perceives music and it’s specific elements. This was a very informative book and perfect for someone who wants to learn more about the psychology behind music, and especially for someone going into a music or psychology realted field.

The idea for this book was fantastic, but I found it hard to follow. DNF.

3.5 stars. This was very educational and informative. I enjoyed learning about music from both the musician standpoint and the brains standpoint. The information presented is researched and organized in a well meaning and interesting manner with clear goals and objectives.

I read this book for my libraries non-fiction book club.

I highly recommended listening to this book. You get sound examples of what Daniel is talking about. I was in band all my school career so a lot of this I already knew and had to be refreshed. However, if you were never in band or no nothing about music, this book would be very hard to get into. But besides that, a interesting read. It would be wonderful as a miniseries or documentary.
