Hated this. Mainly because it feels very manipulative, but also because it doesn't seem rooted in any science. There's no citations or studies mentioned. Not real ones anyway. It all sounds nice and seems to make sense, but people don't talk to people that way (in the way they are instructing you to). It seems mostly geared towards selling something easy to digest to as many people as possible (as evidenced by the last part which encourages you to share. Maybe my reading was tainted because my boss assigned me to read it, but I don't see this ever being truly useful to me or anyone other than making them feel like they're being a good manager.

Quick read. But I sure don’t like it as much as Who Moved my Cheese? The concepts are good, though, if a bit idealistic. The assumption here that people are all the same all the time. I disagree. People sometimes do strange things for entirely personal reasons. But I do agree that this would be a very moral and ethical way of managing people. Wish life were this simple!

This book should've been a one minute read.
It has a very thin message, which it tries to bring forward in an overly elaborate story which finds itself fantastic and keeps stressing that this is the holy method of method. One or two interesting take aways but in all a preachy, hollow story.

Quick read. Really useful lessons in a real easy-to-read format. Even though some may find it too simplistic it would have been too dry in any other form. Very good and insightful. Even if you're not a manager and just want a good idea for how to work with others the lessons will apply.
