Pillows Fluffed

3.5 stars - I like the role reversal and how Casey isn't intimidated by Kat's professional success. I also like how he gives as good as she does but he's smart about how he calls her out on things - like feelings.

“Okay, so you hired this guy. He did a great job, and after it was done, he fluffed your pillows. Is that what you’re telling me?”
-- Kat's friend, Darla

It's an enjoyable read with some great parts but it didn't consistently grab me. The bonus epilogue has deep content but it would've been better in a longer book where it could've been explored more versus a novelette that covers a limited scope of time.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This was a cute instalove romance. I really loved Casey, he was an amazing hero but Kat sort of rubbed me the wrong way. The storyline was entertaining. I liked it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Kat and Casey…hot and adorable. Kat is a boss! She’s got it all together and she’s making career moves, and being new to the city with a new home she needs a decorator. Casey, the decorator, male not female, no not gay - because that’s what everyone assumes because of his profession, but a sweet, dirty talking Alpha male undercover! These two are definitely worth an hour or less of your time because they give us a self sabotaging female MC with abandonment issues who doesn’t allow men to get too close. We also have a male MC who knows what he wants, doesn’t like games, and will call you on your BS. Together, they give us a good story of overcoming insecurities and making things work. I enjoyed this quick read and think you will too.
