It was quirky and silly, like I'd expect for the time. I thought the bet Batman made with criminals was kind of hilarious because the idea he'd do that is so far beyond anything that would happen now. He'd just bust in and beat the daylights out of all of them. Much less that he'd find fun loopholes around it. I have a feeling it was more meant to be educational in the end than anything else, with the information about the post office, but either way I could definitely see it being an episode of Batman and Robin with Adam West and Burt Ward.
