I really enjoyed this short story!!!! Auri shines so bright in this, and even though it’s exclusively 3rd person, the entire book feels like i’m viewing Auri’s world from her eyes. So many things aren’t over-explained, and that’s okay - i love how we got a fuller view of her life without giving away too much at all. I have nothing but good things to say about this book!!!!!

I love Auri, and witnessing a week in her life totally made me smile. She's a little odd, but I like that. I love her voice and her OCD and her brokenness and her secrets. And I LOVE the gifts she chose for Kvothe.

Auri does nothing. The end. I wouldn't care about the lack of plot and the lack of development if the prose weren't notably worse than in the main series. As is, this book is a missed opportunity.

As Rothfuss himself says, this is a “weird” story that not everyone will enjoy. It has little action as such, and is motivated by the semi-inscrutable logic of its main character’s “madness”. Yet it is beautiful, and endearing, and really gets you into the head of someone with a compelling world of her own. I felt as fragile-yet-hopeful as Auri by the end of this book—and making me feel like the character shows great talent on Rothfuss’s part.

La historia es buena pero la traducción es TAN fea y descuidada que le quita valor al texto. Seguramente lo relea en inglés a la brevedad.

A beautiful short story about Auri.

I can't wait to read more about her in Doors of Stone.
