Between 3 and 4 stars for me. I watched the show first and I rarely ever say this but I liked the show more than the book because it flowed much better and the creative liberties they took to change the story made the characters more believable.

Honestly this book was so slay. The imagery and story telling was great. I will forgive the comment in the book where she has her whole head in a centrifuge… baby that’s not scientific. The dog chapter was unhinged
Absolutely beautifuly written, totally engaging, and highlights very well the sexism and criticism women faced at that time. I loved it and simply couldn’t put it down.
really heavy handed w the 2nd wave feminism, pretty depressing honestly - the happy ending and the dog were the best part
