The art was great - I loved the bright colors - but the story was boring. It seemed a little young for its reading level, and Lois was a brat. I didn't like it.

Thank you DC Entertainment and NetGalley for sharing an eARC in exchange for an honest review. I loved this comic so much. A young Lois Lane finding her way and getting into mischief was so much fun and the friendship center theme was beautiful. I look forward to more!

I thought this was cute! It wasn’t the best Lois Lane story I’ve read, but I love that this could have been her start to reporting. It was super cute and fun. Just wasn’t my favorite Lois story.

Absolutely no growth for Lois or repercussions for her extremely selfish actions across the book.

I liked it, but it's best to think of the MC as a character different from THE Lois Lane. This one is kind of a selfish brat, but I liked her big reactions and found it entertaining. Friendship, comedy, strong female characters, and no romance, it's pretty much on target for me.

Initial Thoughts: This graphic novel was really enjoyable! It was a fast read for me and I loved the storyline. The GN focuses primarily on a friendship storyline. There's a little mystery involved too and if you have background knowledge on who Lois Lane is, it's fun watching her character as a tween/younger teen. The art in this one was super fun! I enjoyed how bright and colorful the graphics were. This one will definitely appeal to graphic novel fans -- especially fans of Smile or Roller Girl. It was a bit shorter, I believe than those graphic novels, but it was just an overall fun read! I enjoyed it a lot. I also really felt like each of the characters had a personality that was individual and seemed to jump off the page -- I really think the text and the graphics did this combined so well. Anyway, I'll have a longer review to come! Thank you to NetGalley and DC Entertainment/Comics for allowing me to read an advanced eARC in exchange for a review!
