I liked Tank and Brewer!

This had the vibe of “accidental lovers” which was really sweet to watch it develop

Took off one star because there were many scenes/moments/events that were completely cut off with no conclusion or explanation.

For example there was a moment where the boys went on a trip to a convention but besides the story telling us T & B hooked up the whole things was pointless.

I just wish those events were explored more

Lost interest about halfway through but still finished it. I was so excited about the fake dating trope (my favorite trope) but it was bogged down for me by the “miscommunication through making assumptions” trope. It was so repetitive once they started “dating” because at that point they weren’t really enemies anymore so they kept thinking things like: “IDK when my feelings changed” but then refusing to tell the other person, so the story ran in circles for quite a bit.

I’m always so excited when both or one of the main characters are porn stars. Then I am highly disappointed. Not this time. Holy hot hell, I can do lights. Can I work on set? My kindle caught on fire. Full review to follow.

This was a decent enemies to lovers books. I really liked both main characters.

I found some of the plot devices just made the porn studio seem like really sus employers and I didn’t really understand why Brewer was so secret about his studying to even his supposed best mate, Rebel.

Like book 1, there are a lot of points you have to suspend your disbelief but if you can do that, it’s an enjoyable read.

The ending was a little bizarre but still cute. This book is a very similar vibe to Dix by Emmy Sanders which I think I loved a bit more than this.

Tank is the embodiment of "looks like they could kill you, is a cinnamon roll." 😂

Much like the first book, this was a pretty low angst, quick read that packed a steamy punch. I love how the authors incorporate discussions of consent and boundaries into the incredibly hot sex scenes in this series.

Tank and Brewer's story has enemies to friends/fake boyfriends to lovers vibes. While mutual loathing turns into tension fueled foreplay and plenty of snarky banter, we also get to see the MCs slowly remove their emotionally protective, one-dimensional external personas and form a genuine connection as Peter (Tank) and Micah (Brewer). I especially enjoyed the moments when Tank happily went from grizzly bear to teddy bear in Brewer's eyes.

I'm definitely going to continue the series— the first two books are pretty evenly matched for me (although I might have a bit of a soft spot for Tank's character). Can't wait to dive into Heart's story!

Went in with this book with little expectations tbh, thought it'd just be a fun book with some smut in it, but Tank and Brewer's relationship was actually very beautiful. I really enjoyed the whole book, didn't find myself bored at all. It was overall very wholesome.
