4.75! I love the Ghibli movie, this made the story so much more lush but also way more brutal! There is a lot of war and conflict but also a lot of beauty to be found on these pages. Highly recommend this amazing manga it is such a good story about the destruction of the planet, war, humankind and nature.

Turns out Hayo Miyazaki is really good at storytelling regardless of the medium.

The second half of Nausicaa cements it as a truly all mighty sci-fi fantasy powerhouse. In this concluding set of volumes we get into the heart of how this world came to be, it's destiny, and whether that destiny is good or necessary. We see here the full realization of a theme Miyazaki will explore throughout his career: the rejection of the tyranny of the past over the future.

Completely binged that. Cried more. The story is not without flaws but I'll just leave it at 5 stars because why not, I'm a sucker for Nausicaä.

Not sure how I feel about this. The first half was really good, but the ending has me wanting more. It felt like there was no proper conclusion, just a whole lot of predictions and future possibilities that we never get to see the results of.
Especially in a book as long as this one, where there’s so much buildup, I was expecting something conclusive for the ending.
