solid little horror-ish mood piece with lots of interesting ideas, TOP writing as to be expected

you may wish that some of the questions were answered but idc i'm a mieville fan and he always creates a world worth thinking about so

It took me 50 pages to get under the skin of this novella. I thought I wouldn’t like it but ultimately I found it intriguing as the world unfolded. It’s a mystery novel, but the mystery is what has happened and is happening in this boy’s world.
