Dear Reader,
This, is a Hulkling (aka Teddy Altman) book.
If you pick up this book thinking it purely as a marvel event, you might be disappointed.
For those who followed the young avengers since v1, this book is for us.
If you haven’t read any Young Avengers books I would recommend going through them first so you can appreciate and enjoy this one more.
There are some weak points that needed better handling and I think if they had Anthony Oliveira co-writing this (It’s my belief he’s the best Teddy/Billy writer)it could be even better….but this was great.
Young Avengers fans Assemble!

This book was enjoyable and engaging from beginning to end. The art is fantastic and I loved seeing what both Ewing and Slott put their beloved characters through. As crossover events go, this is one of the best. My main beef with Empyre is the boring, flat way it turns the gentle race of plant creatures into the ultimate villains. Based on their history, I initially felt twinges of an analogy where the Cotati represented Native Americans who were nearly wiped out by the proud Kree warriors similarly to how European colonizers decimated human populations who had been thriving on the Americas for thousands of years. The Cotati felt similar to DC's Swamp Thing, if he replicated or dispersed himself through the Green across many bodies, or grew an army, so it would have been nice to see Marvel's almost identical character, Man Thing, make a significant appearance. It seemed unfathomable that the Cotati would act so out of character and purpose, becoming a conniving and single-minded military presence bent on wiping out *all* animal life in the galaxy! If they're truly plants, it would stand to reason, as Swamp Thing pointed out to the mad Woodrue early in Alan Moore's Saga, that the process of breath and decay from animals are *necessary* for plant life to thrive. This whole plot element just seemed ill conceived. Hence 3 stars rather than 4.

I love a marvel event, and from Young Avengers I love Hulkling. This was so middle of the road as an event, I got so bored and was happy when it was over. Some good moments but not as good as I wanted it to be

Love it. I thought it was good story. In the first paged when we see that Ironman, cap etc... End in the wrong side. They are fooled by one they believed and aly one of them. And the they believed they had a clear enemy because they already had been enemies.
It helps some characters to go to starring roles in a big event. I started my journey in Marvel with the young avengers and seeing them now al that they have been through its an amazing journey.
I love every part of it maybe I'm biased because I love every time I can find anything with those two in it but I really enjoyed this one. I can't wait to see what comes next.

It was fine but the best parts were the little moments at the end, weddings and adoptions and parties. I could take or leave the big superhero fight.

I really liked seeing Teddy as emperor. Everything else going on was fine, but felt very choppy. I'm not a big fan of the Fantastic Four, who featured a lot. There were a lot of references to other comic issues that I haven't read (and have no desire to read). Honestly though? All worth it for the wedding(s)!

A fun cross over event that did a fair job of providing context if you weren’t completely up to date with the comics. Nice

The avengers and fantastic four come into conflict from the recent Kree/Skrull alliance lead by Hulkling. Overall, the plot was fun, with some nice twists without being too confusing. Some conflicts were resolved a bit too easily (the casino sequence), but good rollickingly fun overall. Not a critique, but I just wish there was more Hulkling/Wiccan content, but two gay weddings is still very fun.
