Ji-won is a Korean-American college students, commuting to lectures from her tiny apartment that she shares with her younger sister and mother, Umma. After an affair, their father leaves them, leaving room for George - a white man Umma meets white at work at the local Korean grocery store.

Their lives are immediately turned upside down and Ji-won forms a desire to get rid of George, and a hunger for something else...

This book was a wild ride once it got going. A great story of female rage and doing something about it, even if that something involves murder, cannibalism and eyeballs 👀 I didn't predict the ending either! I'd recommend if you aren't too squeamish and like a bit of horror/thrillers and angry female MCs!

Wow. This book is horrific. I will never be able to get the descriptions of
eating eyeballs out of my head. While I suspected a tumor due to the light and headaches Ji-won was experiencing, I didn't anticipate her remaining a killer once the tumor was removed. Her framing Geoffrey was masterful.
  Really well done horror novel.

The synapsis tells you the plot, but this is really about diving into racism, sexism, social classes, and many other hateful practices that our society is built on in the USA. The direct call outs on behaviors and stereotypes of men are great discussion pieces on their own and I think this would make a great book club pick. Though, it is not for the faint of heart.
(also FINALLY a revenge story that doesn't start with r*pe)
