The gunslingers are separated and whisked off into different worlds and times. You can feel the tempo picking up and everything unraveling. I didn't like this book in the series as much as the others, but I think it's mostly that everything is going to Hell in a handbasket in this book.

My least favorite so far of the series. A waste of time.
The whole Dark Tower series is great but as you get closer to the end you're more and more invested.

I don't know what I was thinking giving this only 2/5 stars when I first read it a decade ago. What happened in those intervening years to reconcile me so much to this book? More importantly: will I have the same change of heart about the final Dark Tower book? Time to find out.
Absolutely spectacular. The world Stephen King spins is magical. Song of Susannah is riveting and builds up to a cliffhanger climax that left me emotional and anticipatory. for some reason i was really tickled by the way Stephen King wrote himself into the novel . It makes the whole gunslinger story seem so much more real . Unpredictable and edgy, song of Susannah keeps you up long after dark.
5 out of 5 , stunning book .
