Took almost 300 pages to get going, but then it was excellent.
I don’t understand any of these great reviews. The audiobook narrator was so corny and it made the terrible writing even more noticeable. There is no way David Baldacci wrote the bulk of this book. Maybe ChatGPT did the first draft? I love his work but this was not it. The characters were shallowly crafted and made ridiculous decisions. The story was so convoluted. I appreciate the emotional punch at the apex of the story but I really had to force myself to stick it out. Maybe the next one will be better but jeez.
