This book was very interesting. It was slow at first, but once you get into it, it becomes interesting. The irony of the title and its meaning compared to the ending of the book really shook me. I love the portrayal of the segregation between white people and black people.

Dit was echt een geweldig boek! Uit het oog van een kind kan Harper Lee prachtig vertellen met kinderlijke directheid/eerlijkheid over de absurditeit van meerwaardigheids gevoelens. Heel direct tussen zwart en wit maar ook over economische en sociale klassen. Het motief van een zangvogel is erg mooi.
