Guess who put aside her ARC to read this beauty (for the second time)?
Gave me butterflies.

Baking Me Crazy is a slow-burn, swoony, friends to lovers romance featuring Levi & Joss. Joss has Transverse Myelitis, a disorder caused by inflammation of the spinal cord, and first met Levi while playing in a wheelchair basketball league. From the moment they met Levi was a goner but Joss isn't interested in dating. 5 years later, the two are best friends but Joss meets a cute stranger on her first day at Donner Bakery, Levi decides it's time to make his feelings known.

Friends to lovers isn't my usual jam but when the guy falls first? SWOON. Levi loves Joss SO much & is determined to show her how good they could be together, even though Joss doesn't want to entangle him in everything in her life. I adore the two of them together! The whole Buchanan crew was so fun & I'll be checking out Grace and Grady's books for sure.

This is such a sweet, cute, and heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance! This was the perfect time of year to read such a comforting romance story!

From best friends to lovers is one of my all time favorite tropes in romance and I enjoyed this one so much. I’m so in love with Levi and Joss! Their journey is not an easy one but it is an important lesson in acceptance, love, and overcoming the odds. While Levi makes his feelings for Joss very well known while she doesn’t express it as much. I wish we would have gotten a little bit more from her in terms of describing how she really felt about him.

I have to admit, I have only read one book in Penny Reid’s Winston Brother Series, but I am itching to go read the rest after being back in her world. I can’t wait to read more in the Donner Bakery series.

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

Lordy lord lord does my face hurt from smiling so big. You know that feeling you get when you eat a warm chocolate chip cookie straight out of the oven—that ooey gooey goodness hits your mouth and you get all those warm and happy feelings? Well, that is exactly how I felt while reading this book. And by the time I reached the end all I wanted was a batch of those cookies this book made me crave.

Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and Karla did an exceptional job and hit it out of the park with this story. It gave me everything I look for in this genre in spades. I was left constantly smiling, even at the emotional moments. I just loved everything about this story.

Joss was such a brilliant character. I loved how badass she was. She’s sassy, funny and awesome. I freaking loved her.

Levi most definitely captured my heart. He’s sweet, funny, loving, charming and so much more. His compassion and love for Joss is what I liked the most about him. The way he was considerate with her feelings and waited for exactly the right time when she was ready to be more than best friends just made me a swoony mess. Levi is seriously one of the best heroes I’ve read. Gahhh, I love him to pieces.

Joss and Levi’s story was such a breath of fresh air. Everything about them and and their friendship felt so genuine. And their love story was sweet, amazing, romantic and beautiful.

Baking Me Crazy gave me so many feels upon feels upon feels. This story is everything heartfelt, beautiful and sweet. A fantastic start to the Donner Bakery series. I can’t wait to read the rest.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book*

"Making my best friend for the past five years fall in love with me?" I raised my eyebrows. "Yeah, I'm sure it'll be a piece of cake."

Have you experienced yourself sighing upon finishing a book? And I mean a full blown HAPPY sigh because it was simply the sweetest story and left you stuck in the feels.

Well, that’s exactly what I did at the end of Baking Me Crazy. Be still my fluttering heart — I’m in love with every morsel of friends-to-lovers goodness Karla Sorensen created with this book. It’s easily become one of my favorite stories in this trope.

"But my hands never, not once, stopped wanting to reach for her."

Levi captured my heart from the start. His love for Joss was sweet and so incredibly genuine. He was always there to push and help her at every turn. And Joss was a heroine to admire. She was strong and courageous, and didn't let her circumstances stand in the way of doing the things she loved.

These characters and every single part of this story is something special. A truly beautiful, heartwarming friends to lovers romance I HIGHLY recommend!

Now let’s talk about la tipa principal, I love her como ella es tan ella y literally ni se peina like I agree girl.

DID NOT FINISH: 4%

Did not like the MMC and 16 years old love interest is a little too young for me.

This was so good??? The title of the book made me think this was going to be a silly rom com, but this book had so much heart. I loved Levi and Joss as both friends and a couple, and I loved that everyone in their lives knew how much Levi wanted to be with her and Joss was none the wiser.

My only complaint with this book (and why I couldn't give it five stars) was that it needed to be longer to flesh out some of the storylines better. I would've liked to see the PT guy me more of a threat to Levi and Joss's relationship, but that got wrapped up quickly.

I also would've liked for Levi's little gifts and hints to be over a longer span of time, so that Joss had more than enough time to start changing the way she thought about him. I get that it's already been 5 years for him, but she had like 2 weeks to have to acknowledge that she may have feelings for Levi.

(Last one I promise), I wish the two conflicts in the book weren't the exact same, with Levi springing life changing information on Joss and then her getting mad and needing time to process without him. I understand needing to take a step back and process information on your own, but Joss got advice from people both times, and it would've made the most sense for her to take some time and then talk it out with Levi, not others.

Other than that this book was fantastic. I don't know if I'll read the others in the series, because I honestly don't care about Grady or Grace, but I'm sure they'll be just as good.

This was cute, but why didn't they communicate better? Jocelyn just kept forgiving Levi for secrets.
