Jennifer Wright takes us on a tour of various plagues that wreaked destruction across the world during their time, and introduces the many heroes who fought them and tried to help people.
I've always been fascinated by infectious disease, and indeed my dream is to be in public health policy making laws regarding vaccination and disease management. As such, I've heard a lot of the stories recounted within this book, but the author does it in such an engaging and humorous way that I found myself interested throughout.
