No. What do you mean BULLY ENEMIES TO LOVERS????? This can barely be classified as a book, it’s just a bunch of sentences strung together.
omg evan is like a big himbo puppy who has two braincells pinging around in his head that can only think about sophie. he literally daydreams about sophie all the time and waits for her to come home after work. the grovel is slow and long, just how i like it.
i liked sophie's character, how hard working she is, her dreams of going to harvard law.
i liked the dark academia aspect of this book too, and how when exam season rolled around, everyone was too busy actually studying, like students should, rather than fucking around like how it is in a lot of other books that take place in school. i liked how the academia aspects were woven into the romance plot organically. for example, sophie helps evan with english literature, and as they're discussing the books, there's a clear parallel between the book characters and sophie and evan. it's really cute the way evan talks about his feelings through these discussions.
i would have given this 5 stars if there was more substance to evan's character. i couldn't really get a good feel of him other than that he's hot, athletic, dumb, and obsessed with sophie. honestly, what does sophie even see in him? i can definitely see what evan sees in sophie, but not the other way around. what are his goals in life? what are his motivations? what are his hobbies? what does he like and dislike? what the hell is he doing after graduating high school? all these basic things aren't really touched on in this book which is disappointing considering how well written the rest of it is
edit (12/17/2023): reread this and evan does not grovel as much as i remembered, he just was persistent and kept hurting sophie until she gave in basically. knocked this down a star.

Are authors allergic to groveling ? Why make a mmc that is so royally shitty only to make the so called " goddess" fmc fall and end up with him with 0 consequences for him, it just ruins the fmc's character to have her so spineless with a moron like Evan

The story felt really slow for 75% percent of the book happening over such a small period of time with lots of detail (maybe too much detail in some areas) but then once the characters were going from enemies to lovers it was extremely rushed, no written out chapters of the mfc forgiving the mmc or anything just written as more of a summary of how the story finishes.

not a huge bully romance fan but I could tolerate it in this book. The thing that got me was all the Jane Austen references and similarities to persuasion in this book *chefs kiss* for that!
