i'm not one to like bully romances because i always feel that the bully never grovels enough (and i still think evan didn't grovel enough). HOWEVER, I can understand that evan doesn't have two braincells to rub together, so the idiot in his fourteen-year-old brain really thought he was protecting sophie from luca by ridiculing her publicly.
i also had a laugh when reading evan's pov because you can see his thought process be the most idiotic while earnestly believing sophe would just go along with it and forgive him just because she never backed down when being bullied. i think it realistically depicts how for the bully the abuse is never that serious while the bullied struggles for years.
anyway i really enjoyed it. i think some themes could have been explored more in depth but since it was well written overall i will let that slide.

Ok this bully romance was addictive af and I actually really enjoyed it! I'm also really obsessed with these characters and I can't wait to read the other secondary character's romances. My one complaint would be that I didn't like how abruptly things ended and we don't really have a solid ended/closure for Evan and Sophie. I don't think Sophie even every actually verbally acknowledges her feelings for Evan and while I loved that she was always keeping him on his toes, I wanted her to acknowledge her emotions for him and to show more that she loves and cares about Evan rather than it only being Evan always expressing how he feels about her. I think a novella about them with just happy couple moments would solve that feeling of wanting more :)

Really enjoyed the author’s writing style. Obviously enjoyed the story and characters but I also loved that at the end of the book the author gives points of annotation and critical thinking questions.
