Loved the twists and turns/unexpected moments and had very cute or funny moments that are driven and work because the characters are so great and well-developed. Only snag is it is a YA series so expect that level.

THIS BOOK!!! THIS SERIES! It is actually perfectly written and beautifully done. WHAT A WAY TO END IT! I was definitely crying at the end and the final plot twist had me crashing out (in a good way) BIG TIME. You you do read the books out of order read this one last just to get the full effect of the book.

Some plot twists worked for me, some didn’t. I don’t know if that’s personal preference or just the book itself. Overall it was pretty decent, and much better than the evil third book that is evil and bad

might not be appropriate for YA.

This book has some pretty intense and traumatic scenes that might be too much for the young adult genre. Adult themes with young adult characters. That being said, Jennifer Barnes has a way of writing that makes you not able to see the twists coming. Highly recommend but for more mature audiences. Read this. <spoiler> i’m still team Michael 

This was the best book by far. The next best was book 3, then book 1, and then book 2.

This series is the love of my life and I’m heartbroken that this is the last one ever. Such a phenomenal read with my favourite cast of characters. The plot twists were insane and utterly shocking. I felt every emotion there was while reading this book. It started out a little slow at first but eventually it started getting better and better, that ending? JAW DROPPING.

When Cassie had to stab her mum after all these YEARS if wondering what happened to her and finally meeting her at the arena, having her last moments asking her to KILL her was the most gut-wrenching moment ever
