Every time I read this book I love it more. It’s a true inversion of Dune, and for that I love it.

ending kinda gave me chills… “he will not be found, yet all men will find him.” paul atreides rlly did fight well and will always be one of sci-fi’s greatest characters ever !!

3.5 might change my mind and give it a 4.
I loved how Herbert dealt with Paul's story arc as emperor, and the whole ghola plot was enjoyable to read too.
The political intrigue as the main focus was an okay choice, I'm not a huge fan... but It was very well executed, every realisation came just at the right time: I was never overwhelmed / confused, but I didn't guess the whole plan before it was revealed.
Overall the book to me felt way less inspired and epic than Dune.
Maybe in the grand scheme of the series it's good to have a more down to earth story at this point. I'm not sure.
Two final notes:
I adored Alia and I would have loved to see more of Irulan.
