I read this book several years ago, and I felt the same then that I do now.
I dislike it.
Not because it’s bad, in fact reading it again has me understand that I didn’t understand the book as well before. Messiah felt wrapped up in its own philosophy, being almost a nesting doll of plot much like Paul’s vision to move the story forward. In the end, Paul appeared to be a coward but also wasn’t.
