Didn't finish it. Despite the appeal of the setting, I just can't tolerate stream of consciousness. My head's messy enough; I don't need to see into some stranger's.

This was a good book to read during quarantine.
It encapsulates the feeling of lives led by capricious unwieldy desires in a lovely meandering way.
I think it's gratifying to read about people who trap themselves in ordinary lives all the time, because you know, that's normal.

I really like this one. He is so great at writing books for children, young adults, and adults alike. I felt like I was really there at Bottle Grove. Looking forward to more of his books in the future. Thanks for the review copy from NetGalley.

This was just not it.  It was kind of confusing and jumbled up and jumped around a lot.  It also just tried to be too deep which was obvious and I didn’t rlly like … I stuck w it bc i thought it was getting cool and creepy but it just turned out to be some weird symbolic thing and nothing even happened lol

Unsure how to feel about this book - I liked the way the book was written more than I liked the content of the book. But once it hooked me I did feel hooked so there’s that
