Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Jeff Kinney

3.53 AVERAGE

There are some pretty funny parts in this book, like the "Cheese Touch," and I can see why tweens, especially boys, will love it. Written from the point of view of an unpopular, immature, sixth-grade boy, the story presents silly and awkward moments that could happen in the lives of lots of middle schoolers. The only thing that bothered me about the book is that Greg, the wimpy kid, is kind of a jerk to his loyal best friend Rowley.

Just as good as I remember :) And having a reading buddy made it even better :D

I hate this series of books. I would never recommend this to any kid (even though they would find it funny, probably) because the plot and the characters are inane, which is the point, but which makes me hate this series. This is truly one of the book series that I abhor. I never liked it when I was a kid, and I don't like it now. I used to read following books in hopes that they would be better, but it's the same stupid humor and awful main character.

Laugh-out-loud funny.

It made me chuckle some.

(Had to read it for some library discussion, possible contender for an award but it's got NO chance.)
