Honestly it was interesting at first but then it got less interesting and kind of repetitive. When page 200 something hit though, it started getting wayyyy more interesting. Kiva is the prison healer and she goes out of her way to care for other people even if they are her enemies. One day, the rebel queen is admitted to the prison and everything changes. Kiva has to partake is deadly challenges for her freedom, the rebel queens freedom and Tipps (he is so adorable like he needs to be protected at all costs). I’m not kidding when I say that the plot twists were absolutely crazy, especially the one at the end, I’m flabbergasted

Honestly, it was an ok read, it just wasn't mind blowing. I actually quite liked the characters (Tipp must be protected at all costs!) but some of the plot and progression was.. stagnant and frankly I'd go as far as saying some of it was completely unneeded. There was 3 main twists at the end and to be honest I saw 2 of them coming, the very end one did catch me off guard so plus points for that. It might also be the main thing that's sparked the desire to continue on with the series!

Oh this book! It was amazing and I am so glad I finally got around to reading it as I have had it on my shelf for close to a year! I can't wait to read the next book. I definitely did not see the twist that happened!
