This book was so good. It shows the life of a girl who believes something that nobody else does. People begin to think she is going insane but she sticks to what she believes in!

The last CD was busted on the audio, but so far so good.

For whatever reason I had to break up my reading into little chunks. But I really liked the writing. It was smart and witty. I liked the character and I know my daughter will love seeing the recipes when she reads it.

I read this at the same time as my nine year old. She loved it. I thought it was a fun, light hearted story.

Una mirada acertada del mundo a través de la perspective infantil. Hay realismo mágico y realidades cambiando. Bellamente ilustrado.

2024: This was a fun reread. I find Horvath delightful in a not too treachaly way. I also love a book with recipes.

Primrose is an amazing kid. Her parents have been lost at sea and although everyone in the town thinks they are dead, she is absolutely sure that they are coming back. In the meantime, she lives with her uncle and learns to cook from a chef that puts everything on waffles. There are a lot of people who care about what happens to her - and a few that don't. Despite her hardships, Primrose always sees the best in everything. She has a lot to teach us.
