I started this book almost a year ago. A good friend said I would like it, but I am not a fan of how it is written. I am hoping to come back to this book, but I am only around 40% through. I just feel (as of where I am at) that the book is too long and drawn out in such a complex was that I have a hard time understanding it.

Historical fiction is really not my style but the topic of Chernobyl did peak interest. However this book really wasn’t my favorite. It was very character driven and i wasn’t particularly interested in any of the characters other than Raisa. I found some of the relationships to be super surface level and not compelling. I do love Daniel however and would risk Chernobyl for him tbh.
