First off, damn Warren Ellis for being such an awful human being while writing such quality stuff. His existence alone loses this thing one star.
Which is a damn shame, because it's a dark, twisted, disturbing and often perversely funny insight into humanity's flaws, through the eyes of a chaotic wreck of a man who hurts everyone he touches. Also, when it says for mature readers, it really means it. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Graphic: Child death, Mental illness, Blood, Gaslighting, Body horror, Death, Racial slurs, Bullying, Gun violence, Cancer, Cursing, Drug abuse, Grief, Miscarriage, Misogyny, Physical abuse, Animal death, Toxic relationship, Pregnancy, Rape, Torture, Violence, War, Emotional abuse, Hate crime, Injury/Injury detail, Mass/school shootings, Religious bigotry, Alcohol, Gore, Murder, Addiction, Animal cruelty, and Fire/Fire injury
There's an entire issue about school shootings. Another one about the miscarried fetus of the antichrist. Approach with the utmost caution, like all Hellblazer comics.
