Okay, I really loved this one. It was cute and sweet and funny and hot. Some shit did NOT make sense (timeline & plot inconsistencies with the other books), but idec. Nobody is reading this for the story.

I enjoyed this book much better than the last one. This story harkens back to the original books in the series with it's flashbacks. I have always wondered about the couples that Ruby didn't write about. Now I feel like the group is complete.

With the introduction of a whole cast of new characters and new village. I have to make the decision if I will read the spin off series. I don't think I will right now. I may do that in the future. We will see.

Read 4/8/22 - eBook

Story of Ariana and Zolaya.
Ariana suffers from crippling anxiety and she doesn't have her meds to keep her stable. It's great she found a partner who is so patient and understanding. That's the thing about this whole series, all the sa-khui are so darned compassionate, empathetic and understanding! Just waiting to see how the humans are going to mess it up, now that there's a whole new tribe.

The series is pretty redundant, and the similarities between stories is starting to annoy. The characters are practically carbon-copy with slight variations. The smut is cut and paste. I only have a few books left to catch up to the end of the series so I'll keep going, but if any more are published, I think I'll skip them. However, there are a few new aliens at the new tribe, so... possibly things could change? We shall see.

great anxiety rep - loved that instead of a dual timeline it was just like present day prologue and epilogue basically around a GIANT flashback
