This comic is what joy feels like! It is nonstop happiness and humor. The characters are wonderful and the meta jokes are very well played. It’s all ages appropriate as long as kids can handle some cartoony violence

It's quite the entertaining comic, I dare say it breaks the fourth wall more than Deadpool himself! Clever, funny, and just an enjoyable read, I'd actually really recommend this!

I enjoy Gwen’s craziness and all the references to the marvel universe. Will continue the series most definitely. Eager for more

I went into Gwen’s story with low expectations. The character was originally just a fun mashup sketch of Gwen Stacy and Deadpool on a varient cover, however, Marvel found a way to create an endearing character, Gwen Poole, out of nothing. Her origin is goofy and fun, she has no connection to Gwen or Deadpool, but is a girl from our version of earth who loves comics, and ends up in the world of Marvel accidentally. Hastings’ writing is fantastical and funny, and when pared with art by Gurihiru, it’s even better. I can’t wait to read volume 2!

This is one of those graphic novels I'll pick up if I need to turn my brain off for a while. This was silly, for sure, but entertaining enough that I would read the next volume.

Just like Squirrel Girl, I was curious about this character when I played Lego Marvel Superheroes 2. I knew she existed and wondered how funny she would be on her own. I already like Deadpool and wasn't sure how Gwen Stacy as a mercenary would play out. It was surprisingly funny and I was familiar with Howard the Duck from the Squirrel Girl comics. The fourth wall breaks were classic Deadpool and the pop culture references were hilarious. I think she actually said "Bye Felicia" and I felt myself chuckle. Gwenpool's awareness of her small costume addressed the lack of protection in a scanty costume as well as how female bodies are constantly objectified. It was a nice dig and I could appreciate her point. This was a fun surprising comic and I hope to read more about Gwenpool's adventures. Let's get her a checking account!

4 out of 5 stars.

This book was so much fun!

Honestly, it has all the quirks of Deadpool but with a twist.

Gwenpool is definitely a character I can get on board with and I can't wait to get Volume 2.
