I just dont really like the writing in this. its not bad per se, but it feels very... disorganized/disjointed? its constantly going back and forth between trying to be profound and saying things very simply, and the pacing is awkward, with the sentence and scene flow constantly feeling stilted and abrupt, or just laid out in a weird way. I've not read anything else by this author so im not sure how her other writing is, but it feels like everything was condensed to try fitting into the page length and the writing is suffering because of it.
