Never quite know what to think of Cassandra Khaws writing, also don't know if that's good or bad.

Really quick read. Was pretty spooky. It ended a little too quickly for me. I wanted more spooks. However, the author did an amazing job at creating such a dark and ominous atmosphere almost immediately and it immediately transported me into the haunted building with the characters! I look forward to reading more horror from this author.
I was excited for this...but couldn't even get past the first 20 pages. Overly wordy, EVERYTHING is an analogy. Too much explanation of gestures without substance. Characters were flat.

The plot itself was interesting enough, but I couldn’t bring myself to care what happened to any of the characters. None of them were likable or deep enough to draw me in.
2 stars, this could’ve been great if it wasn’t 2/3 interpersonal drama between the most annoying cast of characters I’ve read about in a while. Concept is still pretty cool tho, ending was a nice twist.
