Kept me on the edge of my seat and while I did not like the characters as people I enjoyed reading their story. I would recommend this to others just because it was a creepy short read.
I read it because it was on my wish list and someone got it for me. Luckily it was only 124 pages with 69 fuck/fucking/fucked words plus other cuss words. I did judge the book but it’s cover which was the only good thing about the book….

If you want just horror this is a good book. If you want character development there is none. But over all, it was well written, I enjoyed it, but I didn't feel much for the characters. I just enjoyed the scary stuff.

So I read this and I don’t feel like I read it very well. I feel like I didn’t absorb it very well. Meanwhile I kept reading it and wondering if the audiobook would be better. So, since it’s a pretty small book and the audiobook is only three hours and it’s available to download right now on Libby, I’ve actually decided to listen to it, too.
I definitely liked this better as audiobook. I don’t listen to my audiobooks at high speed so I feel like I spent more time with the descriptions in this, which are great. Definitely worked better in audio for me, which I think is really interesting – it’s interesting to see how different mediums affect how you like a book. It’s still not a favourite, but it was good and I definitely enjoyed more in audio than physical.
My only problem was I did not know how to count this towards my stats XD Does this count as reading one book or two?
Representation: The main character, Cat, is bisexual. I think there’s only one white guy in their friend group, though they are all American.
Content notes: Some body horror, a bit of gore. Creepiness.
