this was hard to read at times, in part because I identified so much with what the author was going through. i learned a lot from this though and i am very happy my own chronic illness is not as harsh

there is a chapter or two where the author talks in depth about how she was expecting herself to die, and almost suicidal thoughts etc. she describes getting ready to remove all of her writing bc she didnt want anyone to see it when she died
