I can't believe I have finished this book and there are no more. I can't, I need the next. I think a period of book depression will follow. I need to see Lexie with Miles okay again, I need it right now. My heart is not surviving. I need to know what is exactly wrong with him and see him open up to his Angel. I need Lucy cleared up and out of the picture, yes I know she is not bad but I don't care, it is what my heart needs, okay?
I need to see Lexie find a way to be with Asher without having people in the room with them.

I freaking loveeeeeeeeed her scene with Isaac. It was so amazing and beautiful. I love he was a virgen and how she treated him. The most obvious one to be a virgen is Miles, but no, it is Isaac, extroverted Isaac.
I am all for how she and Zeke are together. He has come such a long way, and in this book it is really noticeable. He is more patient, understanding and he communicates. How he asks her for help?? Beautiful. And their scene shaving his face?? The best.

And Liam? Daaaaamn, wasn't that her first boyfriend?? I can't wait to see what the author has planned for him. I have the hunch that the jealousy will bring back Miles and might help the group of them see that they are okay with each of them touching her, but no others. Hopefully it will bring them together stronger and tighter than before.

I am setting up an alarm so I remember when the next book releases. Please be merciful, oh great author, and release them all very close to each other.

~My thoughts~
WELL, this author's writing has evolved. The first book in this series was all about Lexi's point of view, now it's multiple perspectives (Kind of like a tv drama). Not saying it's bad but, just when the actions start with a BANG, cuts to a different perspective that is happening at the same time. While it has happened in other books in the series, the characters are not what they used to be. Now the author has also made them into main characters and they will not stand to be in the background while Lexi is taking the action. I do not particularly like getting in the mindset of the enemy. There is a scene where Lexi gets kidnapped but because it involves the supernatural world, of course, no one called Rory to tell him this, this would have help in apprehending the person responsible for killing the women around town. At the same time, how can Rory explain to the police force if they even see unexplainable force or if one of the witches casts a spell and makes them believe they did not see what they just saw. While Lexi figures out who is responsible for containing the souls, she can't tell Rory because there is no evidence. Sometimes when I see the mind of the villain it kinda feels like I see the plot like ahead of time and how it might be playing out.
~Characters~
One of my problems is Miles and although I know he is the one who is on top of everyone, he has changed significantly since the camping trip as well as in this book, not only does he keep checking up on everyone on the relationship status but he does not come clean to Lexi about his background something the guys thought he had. While the boys are dealing with both relationship and their friendship, Lexi has to deal with the supernatural world and the real world trying to balance both.
Jessica and Tara take the revelation well. Tara, yeah because she has her cousin who can see but Jessica? Well, it might be because she just saw an interesting scene unfold.
Getting in the minds of the enemy, well that is a new one.
~Book~
What can I say about the journey?
Well, for one thing, it's not boring. It has it's action pact moments, secrets do get exposed (as read from my rant), relationships are tested, and enemies are closer then everyone realizes. More secrets are being kept and I can not wait for the next book because I know for sure that Lexi might be getting down to understanding her powers and she is still growing, making her enemies realize that she is just getting started and a third party might be involved.

Major Plot Development

This book had me at the edge of my seat! The ending has me chomping at the bit for the next book in the series.

I stayed in the review for the last book that I didn’t like the route the series has taken. It went from just a normal group of guys protecting a girl who could see ghosts to this HUGE paranormal world with sooooo much shit. The fact that the paranormal biz is only just getting found out bugs me the most.

Overall though the book was well written. It is clearly a filler used to close up loose ends before starting new plots. While I am not happy with how the story has turned, I’m not completely put off. I look forward to see where the author takes us next.
slow-paced

Too much going on. What was up with Miles???

This book was kind of a let down. It feels like Lexie is loosing her connection with the guys. And it's beyond frustrating that they treat her like a human when she's not. She seems like she's supposed to the super powerful person, yet Asher is more powerful. It's annoying. And the shit everyone was hiding was stupid as well. Haven't the characters learned by now not to hide stuff? Apparently, they've forgotten their own history.

Other than that I do like it, although that thing with Hades was weird. But the rest was interesting.

So many twists and turns!

Just finished a reread because so much went on in that book that blew my mind. Love Lexie and the guys but miles needs to get his head out his butt and start sharing. Dying for book 9. Keep up the amazing work BL!

FINALLY. The plot is moving, the relationships are moving all you could ask for. And Lexie got laid, bless the stars.
