Beware of SPOILERS in this review!
Well, this was pretty good, not gonna lie. The stakes are definitely there and the story is progressing in a very compelling way. I love the internal struggles that our characters face and how they behave in this volume.
One of the stars here is definitely my man Hak who survived that stupid flood. I loved how he literally woke up from the dead and was saved by that woman who pretended he was her husband. And then my man decided to go along with it and join the Kai army so that he could sneak into the battle and help his own people.
I also love Geun-tae who mocks general Ju-do again and then wants to repay Hak and Yona for their help in the earth tribe territories by cooperating in the battle. I really like Geun-tae as a character in general. He’s just a such good person. Not to mention the moments when he decides to step down from his role as a general because he knows he isn’t as strong as he used to be. It’s very noble of him.
The dragons shine here as well. I love Jae-ha and Kija fighting for Kohka’s army. Though I’m kinda worried about them. They both suffered injuries that were quite severe and I just hope that they’ll be okay. Also I find it hilarious that everyone thinks that they can kill Zeno but every time this man just lives and kicks their butts. It’s very iconic.
Overall, it was a pretty good volume. I loved that it focused on our favorite characters but again, I’m not a huge fan of battles and it shows on my rating. I’m giving this 4 stars but that’s just because I’m biased.
