Let’s get into this cause I have a lot to say
ok, I had no problem with Hermione the first time I read this series, but she has really started to get on my nerves. I was fine with her in the TSS, CoS, and PoA, but in GoF she started annoying me. I think it started with the s.p.e.w stuff, and the way she was so insistent on it. Sure, it’s great that she thinks for herself and has a decent moral compass (seriously, I appreciate this) BUT. She just. Kept. Shoving it down their (the house elves) throats. She’s all, YOU ARE OPPRESSED YOU ARE OPPRESSED YOU ARE OPPRESSED!! Even after seeing how miserable Winky was after being unemployed. Like, gurl. This is what gives them purpose and makes them happy. Chill out. Like, tricking them into picking up clothes? It’s hard cause I know she has a big heart and genuinely wants to help them, but bro. Really?
That was mostly pent up ranting from GoF, so let me talk about how I feel about her in OotP. I mean, it wasn’t much better. Again, I’m kind of torn because it’s honestly good that she wants to help these creatures, but imma just say it. It’s kind of annoying. And it kinda made me sick of Hermione. eheh
