This definitely follows the pattern of lending too much weight to the voice of an individual man, but it also works in that it is thought provoking and poignant. There is definitely a poetic nature to Gibran’s words which does cause the reader to consider different ideas, not in new ways, per se, but in such a way that highlights truths you already knew in a way that feels beautiful, and also therefore new.

stunning story, truly feels like poetry about life. it’s short, easy to read and very inspiring.
inspiring reflective slow-paced

But, if in your fear, you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure, then it us better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threashing floor,
Into the seasonless world
Where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter
And weep, but not all of your tears

This book is so incredibly beautiful I felt my soul melt away with every word.

I highy recommend you check it out, and even if it seems hard to digest at first, keep going, it's worth the effort.
