This was an enjoyable crash landing, snowed in with an alien romance set at Christmas. Frost and Alina had a very fast relationship which was a bit unbelievable considering these two races were both enemies and they both had a lot of baggage themselves from the war their races fought, but I still enjoyed it. Their relationship was fast paced, forbidden, but also very sweet. I enjoyed it overall, even if I don’t think they could have gotten over the baggage of their past so quickly. Also this is kind of a retelling of Santa Claus so that was cool.

TW: death of family members during war mentioned;

This is short but super sweet, The characters are fleshed out enough in such a short space of time that you come to love them quickly, so much so i actually wanted more to this story and it to be a bigger book, the world is described perfectly and sounds lovely, i would loved to have known more about some of the side characters hence why i would have preferred to have a bigger book, i would definitely pick up this authors work again

The writing felt very clunky and repetitive. Within the first chapter orphans or the orphanage was mentioned 9 times and how the FMC just had to get there and how they donated everything to the orphanage which is great but then it was obvious they also neglected to take care of themselves or their ship. Just seemed a bit weird.

I liked it no third act break up. However the thing that held me back was the instant love trope. They are two different species that were at war for years. She loves him even though fated mates are not a thing and she has hang ups about his race. His I can understand but she grew up in an orphanage with both races there and being minded by both races.
