This is a heart-stopping romance that will captivate readers who crave emotional, lighthearted stories about overcoming tragedy and finding love in the most unexpected places, with a focus on themes of healing, second chances, and the power of human connection.

short and sweet… well not really sweet.

This book sits in at less than 300 pages and because of that I wasn’t expecting much. I could not have been more wrong.

This book is packed with plot and character development from the beginning of the book. It’s tragic and heartwarming all at the same time. The twists that happen throughout this book were a great addition. Definitely will not be the last book I read by Aly.

I wish i could give half stars because I think 3.5 is fair for this read. I loved it up until a second plot twist. It was just too much. Super cute story by a local author whom I will definitely read more from!

Anything this author writes is immediately added to my TBR. She is just that special. I'm always guaranteed to get sucked into something that is going to pull at my heartstrings. This book was that but so much more.

I loved watching these two grow from grief to something more. The twists in this story were intense and surprising. That being said, I had questions in this book. I didn't understand why on certain things. I, also, was expecting this to have more about Eason and his career/dreams taking off being the focus. In one way, that was good that it showed the growth of this couple through grief, friendship, and eventually love, but in the same breath, I wanted more. Especially, with how he was treated by Jess in the beginning.

Still, a great story and an even better conclusion.
