Look, the art is great and Jack is very handsome (I want to take him home like a little lost puppy and feed him delicious treats). But the pacing is REALLY slow. There's just enough plot here for two chapters, maaaybe three, but they spread it out over five. I'm all for a romance story between Shulkie and Jack of Hearts (I want them to kiss
Pretty enjoyable overall. I thought the way they set up Jen's story was super interesting.
This was really great. Again, a comic that isn’t concerned with formulaic villain encounters and reruns of past arcs, turns out to be fun and fresh. When Jack-of-hearts returns, there is a central mystery at the heart of it, but it’s just about Jen trying to live her life while also endearingly taking care of this long lost friend, thought dead.
Super fun and a good blend of characters who don't get a ton of spotlight and ones that have been around for forever. She-Hulk has always been about how to be yourself in whatever form you have, and this is great.
Read this as single issues at the time of release.
Finally, a She-Hulk run that doesn’t suck! Rowell brings a rom-com flair to this series and it’s really charming. Shulkie and the Jack of Hearts guy are super sweet together. I also dig the “Irma from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” take on regular Jen. It’s a good contrast with her alter ego.
Also side note it’s really funny that this is running concurrently with the godawful Disney Plus show because unlike the showrunners Rowell seems to like the character of She-Hulk and cape comics in general. The difference in quality is astounding!

Starts off great but manders a little bit too much at the end.
Things I loved was Jen's voice here. Super fun and kind. I also enjoyed the jack of hearts? He was fun to get to know more about and his relationship with Jen was cute. The fight club meet up was a lot of fun too.
But the main plot doesn't move much and when it does it feels very slow. The "Villain" or maybe villain is a odd choice. I just didn't feel they move the main plot much to keep me fully infested.
Overall fun but not great. A 3 or a 3.5 out of 5.

A delight. Jennifer Walters is slowly becoming one of my favourite Marvel heroes - an infectious mix of confidence and vulnerability. I do wish this book had more lawyer stuff to dig into, as that's a big part of what makes She-Hulk feel fresh and separate from other Marvel series, but I was pleased at how down-to-Earth the superhero antics are, as well as how beginner-friendly the story remains, despite clearly coming off of previous Avengers shenanigans.
