Such a good book, it is an emotional roller coaster. Deciding what side to be on and wondering what is the right choice.

I think I've read most of Jodi Picoult's books and I think this is only the second one I gave 3 stars to. I've liked all of her other books and even loved most of them (except the elephant one) but I struggled to even finish this one. Her books always have some sort of family drama, unorthodox dynamic and a lot of court proceedings and this had all that but I just couldn't enjoy it and I don't know why. I didn't connect or sympathize with any of the characters because I felt like I didn't really know any of them, the character we learned the most about was Luke and I just felt bad for him. This certainly didn't sway me and I will continue to read books by this author, this one just wasn't for me.

Blech. I may be done with Jodi Piccoult-haven't liked the last 2 or 3 of hers at all.

It was good - maybe I'm just used to the ethical twists by now, but I've felt her last couple books weren't as strong as before.

A typical Jodi Picoult book - easy to read. My 10yo daughter loves wolves so I let her read the "Luke" chapters (except for the last few).

Jodi is losing me. I like each new book less and less. This one seemed random and the story never quite meshed with any of the underlying ones.

Loved the parts about the wolves, the other story was ok.

Told from all of the characters point of view comes this unique story about family. A family is torn apart after Luke, the father, goes to live in the wild in an attempt to join a pack of wolves. His son, Edward, runs off to Thailand after admitting to his family that he is gay. Georgie, his ex-wife, remarries and begins a new family, convincing Cara, their daughter, to live with her dad who spends most of his time with the wolves. Cara and Luke are involved in a terrible accident that brings Edward back home and leaves Luke in a vegetative state. Will this bring their family back together or will it tear them further apart?
