This book follows Gemma in some life changing scenarios!

Sarah has captured these characters so well that you feel like you are right there with the characters in their journey!

I was kept on the edge of my seat from begging to end and even though I missed book 3 of the series I didn’t feel I’d missed anything with how well these books are written!

Gemma is just too annoying. Shes selfish, rude, not as bright as she thinks. She wants to works to rotate around her and doesn’t care who gets hurt in the process. She’s one of the most unlikeable characters I’ve ever read. I got through the 1st 3 books in the series. Last one was 3 stars bc of how she’s written. This one? I couldn’t finish if I tried.

The conclusion to Detective Gemma Woodstock's 4 part series

A girl who has been missing for 22 years is involved in a car crash, later at the hospital her body goes missing again. Gemma just happens to be there when it occurs, and is sucked into the police investigation. As her life outside the job starts falling apart, which parts of the case are interlinked and what the heck is going on in Smithson?

Kept me guessing until the very end, an easy read, fast paced and plot driven

I dont mind flawed characters, but holy moly, the immaturity and lack of self awareness among the largely middle-aged cast of characters was irritating to read. I couldnt figure out whether the author was doing it intentionally or not.
