Nothing spectacular but it was a nice edition to the world. Ramanu’s gender identity was well handled, particularly in regards to the sex scenes.

This is the Novella that I started with post-Court of the Vampire Queen at the recommendation of a friend, and I enjoyed this introduction to the demon bargain world!

I know that this is a novella, but I really can just never buy into stories that have such instalove/insta chemistry. Literally from the first conversation the characters are starting to feel something, and then, having known each other less than 3 days, they're pretty much saying they're forever?? Nah. I guess my suspension of disbelief works only for the "monster" part of "monster romance".

I thought the premise of this book was a lot of fun. We got a carnival that felt a little medieval with the ball and the fighting arena and it really made for a fun and interesting setting as it was mixed with modern technology. The execution on the other hand was a little bit of a miss for me. I think I would have liked it to be a bit longer, as there was some really interesting points that the book touched on but immediately had to move on and had no chance to explore.
In saying that I really liked the Lenora and Ramanu as well as some of the side characters that we got to meet. They all felt different from one another which made the world feel more lively.

I think this would be a great read for those who want a quick and short story that doesn't get too serious. It was a fun read and I would check out the Deal with a Demon series.

Absolutely LOVED THIS!! I love that our FMC is a bisexual witch and our demon is non binary! I loved both of them together and how hard he fell for her.

That pegging scene?

After a family Herloom is stolen a desperate witch calls a demon for a bargain, but with the stakes high she needs a little more convincing, and for her, this demon is happy to do just that.

This was a fun quick novella and I really enjoyed the characters dynamics and chemistry although I couldn't help but think how it would be great if the book was longer and there was more time for their feelings to develop.

The being able to sense things via colors was a really nice touch and although I felt like some things were rushed, I had a really good time!
