This was a very interesting read. I was really in the mood for a graphic novel. I don't know if I'm going to read all of this series; I guess it depends on how many of the books the library has. Morpheus was a really interesting character. For some reason, he was very similar to Neil to me. I mean, he looked like him, but I also found myself entertaining the idea that Neil sees himself as godlike (I mean, all writers are, to a certain extent), which was kind of fun. This story has bits and pieces of everything, which is really interesting but kind of chaotic. I feel like I'm going to have to read several volumes before I feel comfortable with this world. There's superheroes, Biblical characters, fairytale characters, and people from mythology. It is all very wonderful and magical, but a bit overwhelming. Like the beginning of a high fantasy novel, I don't think I have my footing yet. Really what made me invested in reading as much of this as I can is the preface by Patrick Rothfuss. That might be a silly reason, but I'm determined to get through as much as I can and enjoy the story while I do it.

Interesting idea. Looking forward to reading the second book as it's supposed to be much better.

A few rough chapters here and there, but the art work is amazing and the cast is great! Looking forward to reading the next volumes

I almost gave up on this one at the beginning because I just did not get it. It was so all over the place and I thought maybe I wasn't cool enough for Neil Gaiman in comic book form. But then I checked out all the reviews on goodreads and saw so very many good reviews. I thought I must be missing something, so I kept on.

And it did get better. The writing is very compelling and there's something about it that keeps you reading. The artwork wasn't my favorite, although I know many people really like the style. I will say that this is quite graphic, and so gentler readers should proceed with caution. I'm glad I finally got to this one, and look forward to more in the series, as I've read this is the weakest, so if it gets better from here, onward for me!
