To me this book changes the pace from the more epic storytelling of resistance from the previous title. The inevitable unfolding of Paul's story is intriguing and the dialogue made me get goosebumps in certain situations.

I enjoyed this book more than I expected to be honest. I don’t think it’s as good as dune personally but I found things wrapped up nicely and we are present with a interesting tale about the fall of an emperor and the hellscape of knowing your future
This book definitely leaves more to your imagination than dune does but I believe that was Herbert’s intention

I gotta say, I fucking love Dune! I'm glad I didn't listen to the people saying to skip the sequels because I felt like Dune Messiah made the story of Dune far richer. It was a book of paradoxes and unintended consequences. I loved it - maybe even a bit more than Dune. Now on to Children of Dune!
