It hurts to say but I don't think I can continue reading these series anymore. I really wish I could but maybe I'm just too old for these :'(
I couldn't even finish it tbh. It was too cheesy and predictable and I hate how every little thing that goes wrong means Nikki's life is a "giant bucket of puke". I think she lives a very fortunate life going on tour with a band and all that jazz. Plus these series are just dragging at this point. There's barely any character development for the main lead.
I gave it a generous 2 stars because these series mean a lot for me and I grew up in love with these books but now I think it's time to unfortunately let them go.

“I just did it inside my head so nobody heard it but me” is such a common line in these novels which makes me enjoy them and cringe at the same time. I like these books as they’re cute and show all the overthinking young girls do but they borderline pure annoying whining from an over dramatic ungrateful child. Glad I finished it tho, on to my next read...

I've definitely grown out of this series; it wouldn't make sense for me to give it a rating. If I were to describe some critiques I have, they would mainly involve the increasing flanderization of the characters and convenient, anti-climactic endings. I have such fond, nostalgic memories of Nikki & Co., but I'm wholly out of range for the target demographic at this point in my life. Even so, it will always be such a memorable part of my childhood reading.
