A Lady for a Duke is absolutely the Regency era romance novel I needed in my life. Viola Caroll has a secret–two years prior she gave up her life as a Viscount and allowed herself to be presumed dead at Waterloo. Though delighted to live her life authentically as a woman, Viola remains haunted by the loss of her dearest friendship with Justin, the Duke of Gracewood. As it should happen, Justin is very much aggrieved as well. When Viola and her sister-in-law travel to the Gracewood estate to help Justin's sister prepare for a season in London, Viola fears it's only a matter of time before Justin realizes her identity. With a tender romance, the high stakes of a London season, and beautifully lush writing, this new novel by Alexis Hall is not one to miss.
